I was wondering if i could use Shower Gel (for Body Wash) on my hair?? Wil it dry it out??

It isn't advisable to use shower gel on your hair. Shower gel is designed to use specifically on your skin, while shampoo is designed to be use on you hair and scalp. Shampoo strips oil out of your hair and scalp. It seems that they would be interchangeable, but shampoo doesn't strip as much oil as shower gel. You're hair would be so dry it would take an intense conditioning treatment to replenish the extra oil stripped out. My mom owns her own salon and gave me this info.

Most of them have a lot of sodium lauryl sulfate. Dries your hair out. They are made to take the oil and dirt off your skin. Shampoo usually has a little conditioner to prevent drying of the hair.
