it all depends on what kind of gel you use, if it doesnt flake in your hair then its fine but if it does then i'd switch to wax

Gel is better than wax, but moose is better than both of those. My brother has tried all three, and moose is the best for him.

depends on your length of hair and how spikey you want your hair . but generally if you just want seperation of hair then you use the wax . and if you want your hair to point straight out like you touched an outlet then you can still use hair wax if your hair is less then an inch and a half long , if not it wont stay pointed all day . if your hair is more then two inches long and you want it to stand up and out the best way to do it is with gel and then dry it in the position you want with a hairdryer. but like I said if you want just seperation of the hair and some lift and texture use wax :)

I would say that wax is good if you are a bit older and want a out of bed look.And gel when you are young and a bizzy body gel is your best option( Gel must not make white flakes in your hair)

from my experience, wax works better than gel.

but besides wax, you could try hair spray. a guy friend of mine used it to spike his hair and the result was very good. but it looks more natural. so, if natural isnt what you are aiming for, then you might wanna skip this hair spray thingy.

depends, if the gel is water based then you r ok if it's not then find one that is. pomades and waxes can be used for spiking but some of them don't have as good of a hold as gels do. so depends on your personal preference.

bumble %26amp; bumble styling wax...it conditions your hair..holds the style very well and washes out with water...just use a little ammount.

Its all according to the wax. Theres this stuff in a yellow tube, I think the name of it is spike. Its at walmart. That stuff is good. I have two boys and both of them has gone threw that stage. They used gel but there are new products out since that.

i think if you use gel, use the 24 hour hold rock hard gel..but wax is better all around
