Straighten your hair with just gel & moose?

If you put gel and moose in your hair and brush it, will it become straight? My hair is shoulder length, and whenever I use my straightener, it looks really bad... cuz my hair is really thick and wavy. So.. does it work? If not, what besides a straightener could I use to straighten my hair? Thxx.

my little sister hair is really wild used to be ringlets now its just wavy and very out of control and v.v.thick!

i used to straighten her hair for her by doin it section by section which took 2hours with thin GHD's then she got the largest GHD's which was better still doin the same process but took a shorter amount of time.

Now she has gone to the salon and had it relaxed which means it relaxes the curls and makes it much easyer to handle....would recommend!! highly!! does not cost to much either...call ur local salon and ask them or look them up on the web!

my hair is very thick and wavy and i have NEVER been able to use just gel or mousse to straighten my hair out. one question..when you straighten your hair do you do it by layers? you cant just dry your hair and run the straightener through all of your hair? when i do my hair i have to take it up like i am putting it in a half pony tail(but i use a clip) and i do a small portion at a time..try that if you havent..and if not go to a salon and ask a stylist her best answer!! good luck sweetie

I don't think gel/moose will straighten your hair totally, but it will help to train you hair. Example: If your hair naturally parts to the left and you would like it to stay strait back with no part on the left then it will work... takes a about a week to train... as your hair grows out it adapts to the new direction.

Note: If your changing your hairstyle regularly this wont work.

Gel or Moose may help to straiten you hair but it really depends on how curly/wavy your hair is (note the bounce factor). And when you wash it out it will become curly/wavy again.

Have your hair re-bonded first. This will really straighten your hair in a very nice way.
