What is the best stuff? Not looking for cement, but something that will hold well and isn't too sticky.

that depends on how long your hair and what style you are looking for. A small amount of wax for messy longer hair. I have mid length hair with red and black in it so i go for a punk look with the wax. Short hair and a little style i would go with muse. It all depends on your hair type so its kinda hard to answer. good luck
